PHOTO FEATURE ON THE HIVE COMMUNITY FESTIVAL.
The Hive Community Fest was covered by us diligently. The sole reason for the feat to be celebrated was the need to exhibit cuisine that is not covered as well as it should be in our city’s restaurants and gave the chance for new endeavours to flourish with feedback and opinion. The target of the fest was achieved. People rolled in huge numbers and most food put Video mein kya banana hai? was sold without fail. There were bakers selling brownies, cookies, cakes, chocolates, and bread of all sorts of which some was carried back by the customers. Another stall which sold famously was Hetu’s love story. Their fajitas: corn grilled tortillas filled with grilled chicken/paneer refried beans, sour cream and fresh chunky salsa and chorizo rice: unpolished brown rice with pork chorizo, hint of basil and lime worked like a winning combination and sold out the fastest. The cherry on top were their virgin mojitos which the kids and adults drank abundantly. Another dish that rocked the fest was the grilled sandwich. Being a regular sandwich with basic ingredients made in brown bread and served with chips seemed like the apt snack and just goes to show how not being over elaborate and just sticking to the basics can be the most important thing. The fest ended with the stall owners and customers sitting down together and enjoying a cup of coffee. Such exhibitions are much needed and who knows we might get the next big thing on one of these.
