PHOTO FEATURE FOR THE PRIDE WALK AT AUGUST KRANTI MAIDAN.

Love as a concept has been constantly put under the magnifying glass in countries around the world. In our very own country Love isn’t love if it’s not same caste, same religion so same sex or something different always creates a layer of “Stigma”.  The Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people in India face legal and social difficulties not experienced by non-LGBT persons. Sexual activity between two persons of the same sex is criminalized, and is punishable by incarceration. India does, however, legally recognizetransgenders as a gender separate from men or women, making the country one of the few in the world to legally recognize a third gender while others still struggle for acceptance. The rainbow, their symbol shall shine brightly upon our country hopefully soon.
